She was born in Barcelona, November 26, 1965. She’s a mother of two sons. She started sailing at the age of five with an Optimist in the Pantano de Sau, where her family had a summer house. She accomplished various crossings from the Catalan Coast to the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Cerdanya and coastal navigations all around the Catalan, Valencian and Lanzarote coastline
Isabel Ferro, besides her sailing qualities she offers a “feminine touch” on board so it gives the boat special warmth and the necessary organization. She loves to relate with kids and show them the greatness of the Nature and sailing
Titles and Marine Courses done:
- Basic Training Awarded by the “Direcció General de Pesca i Afers Marítims de la Generalitat de Catalunya” and the General Direction of Marine Merchants. Professional title that includes the following areas:
- Survival in the sea in case of abandonment of the ship.
- Security on the job and social responsibilities.
- Initial Specific Sanitary Training. First-Aids.
- Prevention and fire-fighting.
- Motor and sail Yacht skipper. Otorgado por el “Departament d’Agricultura, Ramadería i Pesca de la Generalitat de Catalunya”. Título de Recreo que le concede el derecho a navegar hasta 60 millas de la costa y pilotar buques de hasta 20 metros de eslora.
