About Us Yasanti Gulet Charter

Goleta Yasanti, SL is born from the gigantic sailing vocation from its owner, Manel Morera, who made a major decision in his life when he wanted to spend his life in the sea and share his addiction with all the people that felt the same enthusiasm and love for the ocean.

In that moment he still didn’t know what kind of boat would be the chosen one for his “adventure”, he started to dream about building his own boat, he collected all the necessary information for it, he talked to Bruce Roberts, naval architect of a sail boat style Manel adored: two poles, central tub,… He got the designs, bought the tools and when everything was pointing in that direction he realized it wasn’t viable to dedicate all his time, money and effort necessary to build his own ship.

He continued researching for information and contacted with various Turkish shipbuilders when he found a different style of boats: the Turkish Gulet, with all the comfort and space that he dreamed of, two poles, a powerful engine, seven cabins,… and it was clear for him that it was the boat he was looking for all that time..

After six trips to Turkey, after thousands of contacts via internet, after more than a hundred visited gulets, he finally found the Yasanti and, even know the price was over his inicial budget, he knew that was “his” gulet. Finally, he contacted directly with the owner and convinced her to selling it to him, they got to an agreement and in April of 2004, Manel and five friends got a flight to Bodrum where the Yasanti was and after ten days of sailing they got it back home, to Barcelona.

Until November of 2005, a year and a half later, he couldn’t sail one day with the Yasanti in Spanish waters, he couldn’t start to carry out any of the trips he wished with clients, he found himself tied by hands and feet due to the unlucky marine bureaucracy in our country. There was no human way to register the boat with a Spanish flag, not with naval solicitors, not investing more money than he could imagine, not by processing all the permits himself, there was always one more step to go.

Starting May of 2006 he started to charter the boat, with his partner and now sailor Isabel – another big lover of the sea and adventure- and his own son Robert as a sailor – who shared in that moment the liking of his father and is actually studying the sea and boats.

Today the three of them form the crew of the Yasanti Gulet, offering all the necessary services, both to steer the boat and to care for every detail so the guests feel protected and gratefully enjoy their vacations.
